Welcome to Corrimal Community Church!
At Corrimal Community Church we are just a group of ordinary people who struggle with some of the same issues you do. We are also people who believe in a God who loves us and cares about us deeply in good times and bad.
We believe the Bible to be God’s Word and a great guidebook for life. We also believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son. We seek to support and encourage one another to grow in faith. This faith helps us to cope with real life issues.
Everyone is welcome! We hope you will come and visit with us sometime soon.
A place to belong! Where faith is nurtured, scripture is taught and all are loved.

The Power of Positive Faith
It’s good to have a positive faith, faith that believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Faith that believes nothing is impossible for God. Faith that lifts us out of the Miry Clay.
But positive faith does something else for us too. It does not abandon us in times when things go wrong. And there are certainly times like that.
Some Christians have, perhaps a subconscious perception that for people with positive faith, nothing ever does go drastically wrong. This is not true, and God doesn’t promise us that. To the contrary, he gives us the gift of positive faith just for these times. He also gives us Jesus.
When Christians have this wrong perspective they tend to lapse into something called denial. They choose not to talk about, try not to know about the difficult circumstances that they are confronted with. They choose to pretend they are not real. They do this in order to protect themselves against the pain, uncertainty and theological confusion it might raise.
However when they take this course they fail to realise that in facing the pain and confusion, it is really the pathway to grow towards a deeper relationship with God.
What is the way forward?
Jesus says believe in God, believe in me. Face your fears and tears and pain with that positive faith which knows all things are possible in God. He can do everything even though we may remain confused at what is happening and feel that God doesn’t seem to be answering prayer in the way we think he should.
Even when He doesn’t do what we tell Him to do and seems not to be answering our prayers, trust in Him anyway and know that His ways are higher than our ways. Now that’s a positive faith that will sustain you through all the ups and downs of life.
